The Original Story...
Ona and Ira originally met in Alaska and reconnected years later in rural Montana. They spent a number of years working from Pennsylvania developing their skills in glass work and metal smithing, but the mountains called them back to the West where they built their Studio just outside of Columbus, Montana.

Ira Cuelho
Ira’s work speaks strength and force but with a sinuous delicacy. Nature trumps industry in his versatile forged iron sculpture. This cowboy artist’s work reflects the powerful beauty of his Montana home and provides counterpoint to Ona’s cosmopolitan glass sculpture.

Ona Magaro
Ona enlivens her craft with a fierce talent. Her adventures with color are striking - from the tropical richness of the Africa series through earth-toned vases to the liquid mystery of her Awakened sculptures. Each finished piece reflects individuality and yet enhances characteristics in others.
Working Together
Of all the time they have spent together, they have found the peak of their creative expression by collaborating on free-standing and custom installations throughout the country.
To bring custom blown and cast glass work alongside of hand-forged metal smithing is a feat in it’s own right. But the two of them work diligently to present some of the most creative sculpture seen in North America.
“It’s truly an ideal situation; a life-long relationship and the growth of our creative outlets alongside.”
